Who We Are
There is a common misconception that grossly overweight person becomes that way because they overeat. While that may be true of some, it is not uncommon for obesity to be directly related to a medical condition. For example, a person's metabolism may be too efficient at absorbing food nutrients and storing it as fat. Also certain antidepressants and steroids can be contributing factors.
There are many fad diets for weight loss, but for the obese person, those fads do not correct the underlying causes. For many people, weight management is a life-long process. It's easy to slip back into old habits.
At the Center for Weight Management we believe that by providing you the tools and support with the guidance of licensed personnel you will have a much greater chance for success.

We also provide you with medically supervised specialized diets that may be needed to help control other medical conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, renal disease and gastrointestinal problems, and can also assist in controlling cholesterol level or ensuring proper nutrition for pregnancy and breastfeeding.
